BMW and M Power Owners

Seems bizarre, sure mine goes to 21. I question why the 32c option is even there, why would anyone want their cabin so hot

32c is actually not 32c, it's maximum heating effort in the same way that 16 isn't 16c its maximum cooling effort.

You can actually code the car to display HI and LO instead of 32 and 16, no idea why that isn't the default option.

Never used to before but recently there have been nights when I've been out for a drive and the air outside hasn't been chillingly cold but just cool enough to feel it with the windows open around the winding hilltop roads here. Drive too long like that at 21 degrees on the CC though and it gets a bit chilly all over so I set it to floor vents only and on 32. Very comfortable mix of air :D

There should be no need to adjust the temp as the climate control will be pumping out heat anyway in an attempt to reach 21c. Unless there is something wrong with it.

No, there is nothing wrong with it, I just find the extra heat soothing in the same way I like my morning showers extra piping hot.

I buckled and ended up adding the adaptive suspension, for £500 it seemed like good value and the reviews i have read suggest its well worth it. Im also a sucker for gadgets :p:)

330CD up for sale, overpriced but in no rush to sell for the moment :) Id say £7750 is more realistic

I’ve been told my order is now locked and going into production week 15 which i believe is April 8th ... :D Dealer thinks delivery should be made first few weeks of May.

Going to an Indy next week, taking the E46 330d for the following-

Service Inspection II (I have bmw service kit already)
Front Disc's and pads
Rear speed sensor dead

How much do you reckon at an indy, not got a clue so any guidance would be most welcome.
If you really want to scare me then quote stealer price :p

£250 ish?

I paid £289 from our local 'indy' in Birmingham for an Inspection II and new thermostat and that was with them providing the service parts (which they seemingly didn't change).

I'd have a guess at your discs and pads being £100 parts alone, plus markup. Labour at what, an hour say £60. Probably £200 plus the VAT for that alone.

No idea on your inspection 2 - it varies so much place to place. A bit worried that you don't already know the cost of that, it's the first thing I normally ask then challenge if it's more than others in the area.

I paid £200 for new front discs and pads at a friends garage, good luck getting it all for less than £400

Thanks all, very helpful, I have 2 local indy's that I'm visiting over the next few days, will let you know how I get on.

Was bored at lunch so I priced up the discs and pads on ECP, £316.80 inc VAT, or £237 using the 25% off discount code. Possibly cheaper still if you went via Carparts4less. That's for Pagid gear all round.

Might be worth getting the bits yourself and just paying for labour.
