Sorry if its been done before

you want to buy something of the internet that costs £97, you dont have any money. you borrow £50 of Chris and £50 of Ben. You buy what you want and you have £3 pound left, you give them both £1 back and you keep £1 for your self, so you are now due them £49 and £49 ... plus the £1 that you have that is £99 pound where is the missing £1 gone?

how thick can anyone be seriously ?

edit : guy above me plays SWTOR too. pretty thick. Pyrotech noob

Not this 'problem' again.

Simply put you are adding up what you HAVE to what you OWE, you can't do that. It's no different to saying "I borrow £5 from Ben, I now owe Ben a fiver and have a fiver so that's a tenner, where's the extra £5 come from?", all you've done is add in an extra step (giving them both back a pound) to reverse the 'problem' into a negative.

What people HAVE in your scenario (at end)
£97 worth of goods (you)
£1 You
£1 Chris
£1 Ben

Total £100

...or

What people OWE in your scenario (at end)
£98 You (to Chris and Ben)
-£49 Chris
-£49 Ben

Total £0

You can't mix figures from one of the above with the other which is what you did.
