Bioshock Infinite performance

time: 82.22 Average FPS: 151.95 Min FPS: 4.34 Max FPS: 396.98 (Overall)

That's my benchmark score. The min FPS is diabolical causing a massive stutter. Not tried the game yet though, nor did a second run either, which will more than likely sort the min fps out due to vram loading.

Only run the bench a few times before bed, but no, I don't get any stutter. One strange thing I did notice, is that it takes a second or two once the bench has started for the GPU clocks to move from power saving mode.

For anyone who didn't know to unlock the "true" hard mode of this game enter the Konami code on the main menu: up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A on the xbox pad. 1999 Mode here I come.

Hmm thats probably whats causing it as my monitor is 144hz so i really noyice the massive fps dips

I've played a bit of the first level and other than a couple of random dips the fps seems pretty good and the gfx are great.

Had my first program crash anyone else? 13.3 beta 3 driver

Also noticed frame rate locking at 30fps now and then?

I've noticed the frame locking. The performance seems a bit crazy on my PC. I'm running it at 7680x1440 and its performance is all over the place. I turn AA off to see what happens, FPS goes down . I turn it back on, FPS stays where it went down to.

AA did come off and go back on too.

i think there must be some kind of frame smoothing setting. maxed except normal AO & shadows, its going from steady 60 to approx 120 then 90 etc.. i imagine there is a setting in the config.ini
Would like an ingame option to limit fps to whatever you wanted instead of just v-sync. I could be wrong however

I thinking I might not play this till new AMD drivers or game update. What I hate is how the PC reviews dont say anything about this?
What they using a special version of the game or something.

Something I'm a little confused about is that the minimum install requirements for Bioshock are supposed to be 20GB, and maximum, 30GB yet my version isn't even 20GB.

Vsync Bug Fixed :D

D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\BioShock Infinite\Engine\Config\BaseEngine
Scroll Down To [SystemSettings]
VsyncTo60WhenUnder30=False Change to VsyncTo60WhenUnder30=True

Save and close and Right click BaseEngine and set to read only.

Tested on known part where frame rate hits 30FPS now its a solid 60fps :D

The game runs pretty well, but I think that built in benchmark is broken. Something just doesn't seem right with it.

The numbers do not come close to what's going on actually ingame.

Had Fraps up for a session and lowest I got a drop to was 55fps when explosions were going off and one of those crazy guys chucking the fire grenades around.

Generally its around the 80 mark.
