Bioshock 3 - Infinite

The save system is really annoying, stupid checkpoints. For example i stopped playing just now, and it told me that the last save was 5 minutes ago. So i will have to replay that last 5 minutes of the game when i play again.

Other than that, its a really good game!

Seems to run extremely well on my system at 1920x1200, I'm impressed. The framerate lock/Vsync thing was giving me trouble but I've changed the setting mentioned earlier so I'll try it again in a sec and see if that's solved.

As its single player only, I'm thinking of playing this on a pad on the big TV.

First off, is it even pad compatible, second (I know FPS is better played with keyboard and mouse!) as it's single player only does it play OK with the pad or is it really much better on the keyboard?

Cheers :)

I'm playing with an Xbox pad, as with Tomb Raider it was designed to be played with a pad and plays very well.

Sorry if this has been asked, but anyone know how you get the industrial revolution dlc in game? I completed the 59 puzzles the other day and put the code into steam and it shows when I right click the game in my library. But I have started with 0 coins and it should be 500?

Awesome game so far! Really loving all the detail they have put into it, I have just been walking around the city looking at everything.

You have to play about an hours worth before the bonuses appear. You get an on screen pop up appear after a certain checkpoint.

Really enjoying this, you really get sucked into it. Surprised I actually enjoy it better on the 360 pad. I HIGHLY recommend this to played with headphones aswell!

I have played for 2 hours and am still in the town center looking around at stuff :o. good to know that it unlocks later though, thanks.

I agree with using headphones, although i always wear them for all games. But this game does sound incredibly good. I have been really impressed with the details in this game, like...
Columbia's gayest quartet :p, sounded amazing through my headphones

Hmm, so is there really hardly any actual spoken interaction between you and other NPC characters? I've only played for about an hour but interactions between the player character and NPC seem almost non-existent even when you think there should be. As an example
at the bottom of the Lansdowne apartments there is a chap who initially says something similar to "No need to fear me." and then that's it. You can mash "f" all you like, he just stands there seemingly serving no purpose whatsoever. Odd.

Added spoiler, bear in mind this is just about an hour in and I'm unsure what relevance it has in the overall story etc.

First thing I thought of was the Simpsons with Homer being in the B Sharps. For once positional audio and environmental sounds are done properly.

Did a windows install, and the game seems to look a lot better today than when I played it yesterday for some reason.

I tried it with the pad, but tbh I think I will have to stick with kb/m....unloaded a whole machine gun clip at one guy and don't think I hit him once!

right i kinda got screwed on a greenman preorder, what's the best place to buy this now (except greenman). Theres that russian site that was doing a good deal on dmc not long ago and its offering bioshock + season pass for £20.00. the only thing is that is says:

Region: Россия, Страны СНГ
Language: English

but no mention of vpn. what do you guys think?

I'm about four hours in. I've gotten to the point where you find Elizabeth and hook up with her. So far the game is totally immersive and engrossing. I tried initially playing with vsync off and I was getting over 100FPS with everything maxed at 1080p, but the tearing was a bit off putting so I put vsync on and now at a solid 60FPS everything is sweet. Great job by Nvidia in releasing drivers for the game yesterday.

Stunning game so far, I had to force myself to come off it so that I could make some food. Can't wait to get back on later tonight. 10/10 so far ! :D

Just had an awesome fight scene having to jump from rail to rail to escape gun fire and a handyman, constantly being kept on my tose while he electrocutes the rails and having to time getting Elizabeth to spawn health packs while he was chasing me and I had minuscule health remaining. Such a good rush and just when I thought the game couldn't get any better.

I really didn't think the whole rail hoping fight mechanic would work and that it would be confusing but wow it just works so well :D

Def go with hard for full experience. When you get your pre-order puzzle bonuses and season pass bonuses you get a nice boost to help you along aswell. The golden guns look great!

How or when do you get the bonuses? I pre-ordered it and I thought you got some free stuff like extra money in-game but I only started with 5 coin. Do you have to do anything or do they just show up in game later?

It's shows up a little while into the game when you get your shield ;)

Edit: Ow and on the topic of shields. Anybody else really glad they included one in this game. The old mechanic of always having to find health really bored me but at the same time in this the shield doesn't feel to OP.

why cant i run with vsync on and at 120FPS?

i have a 120hz monitor ofc sometimes the tearing can be annoying with vsync off but i hate playing with 60 FPS is there any settings to change in the ini files to get 120fps with vsync on?
