I also pronounce it how it's spelt. 

As far as I can remember I believe that's pronounced Hop-Hog.
I'm a rep for Asus (train retail staff) and I've always said A-Suss and it comes from the end of the word 'Pegasus'. However, they are starting to use the A-Soos pronounciation like in the US to separate it from Acer in the UK.
I've always pronounced it A-sis.
Correct, it is the name of a small town in America somewhere.
How does a vowel change like that?
Also they pronounce Dacia the car company - dayseeya on top gear but in the advert its "Datcha".
I wonder who's in the right on that one. I'm guessing they wouldn't get it wrong in their own advert though...
