I'm a rep for Asus (train retail staff) and I've always said A-Suss and it comes from the end of the word 'Pegasus'. However, they are starting to use the A-Soos pronounciation like in the US to separate it from Acer in the UK.
I've always pronounced it ah-sus untill I worked in Currys for 3 months who told me it was aysus. That was the single computer fact/knowledge I learned there that I either didn't know already or wasn't incorrect. I'm still ashamed that there was even one thing...

On a somewhat related note I heard a reviewer call animated images G.I.Fs (Jee Eye Effs), I'd always just called them 'Gifs' (like gifts but without the t)
