I have a question for those who have played it, does it play like a normal Lego game (like Lego Batman), but with the open world element thrown in? Or is it a completely different feel altogether?
Not got it yet, but considering picking it up on saturday, depending on what the general reviews say, only read one so far, and it made it out to be too much of a kids game and not much for adults, but will wait and see.
Not even heard of it?
Also read somewhere about an update to the console, coming in April,to improve loading times.
An update is coming after the April one to increase software loading times
Hello, this is Satoru Iwata of Nintendo.
As we announced in the January Nintendo Direct, we plan to release two Wii U system updates. One in spring, and one in the summer.
Today, I would like to let you know the status of these two updates.
We are planning to release the spring system update in April, which will improve the time it takes to launch software, and the time it takes to return to the Wii U Menu.
We still have tests remaining, and it will take a little more time until we can release the update. But today, we have prepared a video so you can see how the loading time will change when returning to the Wii U Menu with the system update, so please take a look if you are interested.
In the future, we would like to share announcements about Nintendo Direct events here, so we appreciate your continued attention.
And lastly, like in other Announcement Communities, please understand that while we read every comment, we are not able to reply. Thank you.
No, both updates are for the OS, the first one reduces the amount of time it takes for you to exit a game and return to the OS the 2nd updates is to reduce the time it takes for the apps to load e.g settings.
They aren't affecting load times within games at all, so Lego will still have horrendous load times when it loads a new area.
The in game load times aren't bad, its the start up load that is and as per your quote the update will inprove software load time.
Reviews and user feedback seems to suggest fairly regular 30 second to 1 minute load times during the actual game itself, that is fairly bad IMO.
