Bioshock 3 - Infinite

Bloody hell just bought it off steam, i promised myself that ill finish my other games and maybe wait till the GOTY edition comes out. Read the last two pages in here, reminded me how much i loved Bioshock 1 and here i am waiting for the dl to be done.

Edit: shouldnt take long to [email protected]

not sure if anyone noticed but the music playing when you first get to the beach is Cindy Lauper's girls just wanna have fun.

Made me chuckle.

Loving the game so far though!

There are loads of covers like that;)

I have spent the last two hours in the same area exploring...it is massive! Found loads of codes and voxophones

All that is missing is having Walter Bishop here explaining what is happening;)

I can honestly say that this game made me sick. Well, feel sick anyway. Nothing to do with the content but my inability to use the game controller sticks without my view going up down round left round down up right left down up.

I'll try further away from screen tomorrow

Just finished it after playing most of today. Thoroughly enjoyable from start to end, and what an end it is. Last couple of hours were absolutely superb. Tried to explore everywhere but still missed out a few recordings and 'sightseer' thingys.

I don't often play through FPS games more than once, but I am definitley going back to this. I'm actually quite sad that it's over.

One thing I noticed

I have not completed it yet, but I think the vigors seem a little like an afterthought. In BS1, the plasmids were a major part of the story and the game. In this they just seem like they were thrown in because they should be in the game....a little bit more about vigors in the game along the lines of those audiologs/conversations would have helped....The game should really have had more emphasis on them I think and integrated them in to the overall narrative a bit more.

If you haven't finished the game yet then read this after finishing:

With tears plasmids could have basically been taken from rapture. Just like most of the technology and music in the game was taking from other points in time, in particular 1980's.

So trying to explain them would have given the story away a bit!

My thoughts on the ending:

So if this really could be all connected with Rapture then all 2K have done is release Bioshock 1's prequel without ever pin pointing down if it really is linked (character similarities with the first one are all there). But also at the same time, almost released the same game with a different take on the story. It's genius :D

Please tell me someone else cacked themselves at this bit too...

Ok - Daft question time. Is this game as awesome as you lot are saying it is?.

Yes, and I didn't like Bioshock 1 or 2 at all. I'm only 6 hours in (and a long way to go tbh, really taking my time exploring).
One of the best SP experiences in years, comparable with the likes of half life.

^^ Yeah, I'm not clicking on that yet;)

Just on the bit where you control Songbird....brilliant sequence! I love sky-lining around occasionally dropping in to charge people
