People try kill me in my dreams! Why?

I've had a few dreams in recent weeks where friends or family members are trying to kill me. Yesterday I had a dream where a family member who had passed away many years ago was trying to kill me.....

Anyone else have dreams like this?

I was once shotgunned in the face and then went third-person so see my limp lifeless body bleed out onto the ground. It was possibly the most surreal dream I've ever had, not the scariest though. That would be when I cut the head of a hot girl I used to know at school, proceeded to rape her lifeless body, then paraded round the hotel I was in with her head on a stick before getting super paranoid and freaking out trying to hide the body; I don't think I've experienced relief like the relief I had when I woke up to find out I, in fact, didn't do those horrible deeds.

Used to have similar OP. Now I just try to make myself as tired as possible before bed to make sure I don't dream. I hate nightmares

I'd wager most of the guys giving shocked responses to this post have had dreams very much like it, but are too afraid to admit it. I know I have.
