You can also do silly things like the £7 per month contract comes out at £520 over the 2 years, cheaper than SIM free at the moment...!

I want an S4 but I can't decide what the best deal is. I don't need a contract, in theory we know its cheaper to buy on contract up front but more expensive in the long run.

Last year I got an S3 with the tablet and accessories from CPW but this year the thought of a 7inch tablet that costs £100 didn't really appeal to me.

I thinks P4U with their giveaway is potentially a good deal but the details are so vague about how much they have to give away it seems like a scam almost.

I've just ordered my S4 with unlimited data for £26 a month. You can't really "waste" data when there's deals like that about. There's no excuse anymore!

I've never really been many places were you can't get some kind of 3G signal these days, apart from when you're out in the sticks... in which case you probably wouldn't get FM either!

Radio is much more stable when travelling compared to data connection IMHO.

That's a good site - some good deals on there - wife's S2 contract is up and o2's deals online are garbage. Will call them and use some of that websites's information to try and get a better deal.

I remember the wife getting the S2 on launch day for £99 on only a £16 a month contract. o2 online are wanting £399 on the same contract for the s4.

Wish I'd known about that website; however, you got a bloody good deal mate

Don't think i'd like T-Mobile though, i'm currently with Orange.

My download speeds are pretty poor, thinking of going to Three.

T-Mobile are the same as Orange, but I've found they are faster... when connected to what was Orange I get much slower speeds than when connected to T-Mobile. Dunno if that's because I'm with T-Mobile or not. Might improve when they eventually switch to only having one network rather than the 2 they still have now.

I was going to go with Three until I saw the deal above, as I don't think they will ever bring DC-HSDPA or LTE to T-Mobile :(

They don't even offer the HTC One on that deal, how strange. From all the ridiculous prices floating around so far, thats by far the best deal I've seen.

Edit: Who was the cashback through?

It's actually £50 cashback on Quidco atm.

£50

EXCLUSIVE RATE EXPIRES IN 6 DAYS

for Samsung Galaxy S4 pre-orders on £26p/m tariff and above

Yes, I'd rather have a bigger battery or lighter phone. As would 99% of phone users I suspect, hence it's removal.

Let me guess, you're also unhappy laptops don't have floppy disk drive anymore?

I'd like to see what difference it makes, I imagine it would not noticeably affect size or weight. That's a ridiculous comparison too, radios have legitimate current usage and floppy disks clearly do not :p

Lol.

Last time I checked, radio chips in a mobile aren't the size of your head. ;)

3G still isn't everywhere, especially here in Ireland and it also comes in handy when travelling or if like me you only have a 500mb data limit.

I take it that if signing up to a 24 month contract (like the £26pm T-Mobile one above), when the providers roll out competitively priced 4G towards the end of the year onwards, then they'll offer the upgrade for free or at a discount?
Not sure I'd want 12-18 months left on a 3g contract when everyone is switching to 4G speeds and software etc that utilises these speeds.
