USB 3 Transfer speeds?

Isn't USB 3 meant to be quick? :confused:

The interface speed is quick but the thing you are reading/writing from needs to support those faster speeds. What USB device are you connected to?

Just done a quick search and turns out other users are only getting write speeds of 5 Mb/s.. Damn :/

If a USB stick doesn't list its read and write speeds that probably means its not going to be fast.

Meaning it's the drive itself and not the interface. They probably used a cheap controller + storage chips to keep the price low.

Lesson learnt; don't buy cheap!

I'll just buy another one and do a proper look/reviews etc before buying this time.
