*** The Official Samsung Galaxy S4 Thread ***

I'm happy with my deal with 3 at £37p/m really. I don't like having to worry about what I've used, plus I want to use tethering so ideal really!

Are you never in the house or does your house not have wifi? Or do you spend ages on public transport watching Netflix etc?

I spank my phone and I've no idea how I could get over 1.5gb which is the highest I think I've ever gone.

I don't use wifi in the house (I don't even think my phone can connect to it unless I go and get the code off the router :p) since my mobile's data connection is faster (4Mb/s ADSL vs 4Mb/s to 14Mb/s depending on the time on Three), I also watch a lot of Starcraft tournaments at work (I can't get wifi signal there) which are about 2Mb/s (might be more now as they just changed from 720p to 1080p) and last for like 4 hours a day (normally only manage 2-3 hours of it at work though :p).

I use more than 1.5GB just listening to music (4.2GB this month) on the way home from work :p.

Just rang Chitter Chatter to confirm they have received my order and it had been processed as I hadn't received the correct emails. They said they are shipping on the 26th. Would it arrive on the 27th or Monday 29th? They said they use next day delivery but I was under the impression this excluded Saturday, which is extra.

The guy at chitter chatter (and his name was guy :-)) said to me they get them on the 26th and they would go right out for delivery next day.
I said but the 27th is a Saturday and he says they do Saturday delivery at no extra cost!

I get it but you are definitely the exception not the rule, people saying 1gb isn't enough I'd say are wrong in the vast majority of cases.

Nope, with 3G and 4G now on the uptake you can very easily exceed 1GB data just by watching some Youtube and iPlayer and now Netflix and the like. I use WiFi most places yet still manage to get 1GB+ data usage a month on the mobile network but only because I know I have AYCE data so am not bothered by it.

Those who have set data limits tend to keep an eye on their usage and force themselves not to browse rich media content which kind of defeats the object of a modern smartphone really for the sake of saving a few £ a month on the tariff.

Id say with modern usage (streaming and photo heavy sites) it isn't enough. The whole point of having in ternet on a phone should be being able to do what you want without having to think about the limit. 1GB doesn't enable you to do that on a modern media-capable phone.

OK couple of questions , can I tether to a IOS device ? Will the battery life be better than my 2 year old I phone 4 ?

I am also looking to go to 3 for the first time , seriously - what is the coverage like ?

What's everyone thinking cases-wise? Looking to get myself a hard case but not sure what to go for. Don't really fancy any of the flip down ones. Had a capsule neo on my iphone 3gs which was excellent so if theres anything similar that would be what I'd be after. Probably be after a decent screen protector as well...

to be fair I only view websites, barely ever any video or music and if I did then I'd be at home in wifi, the rest of the time I'm working tbh.

And in all fairness I could be using loads, I don't pay so I don't think about it!

I've been on 500mb for the last 2 years with my gs2 and it's been...tight. Ive only managed to stay below it by not streaming anything unless ive got wifi and some months i've still been close to going over. I've gone unlimited with the gs4 so bring on the music and video streaming :)
