Games you would like to see

I don't think I could ever want a game more than a new Unreal Tournament to bring the series back to life.

Also:

Transport Tycoon
supcom 3 (if like the first)
Age of Empires 4
Half-Life 3
Road Rash
Streets of Rage
Dragon Age 3 (again, like the first)

A Krush Kill n Destroy remake would be ace too ;)

One thing I find interesting is (some) people frequently moan about a lack of original games, yet when you ask what games people want, the answers are overwhelmingly dominated by sequels or remakes.

I'd quite like to see:

1) A warfare simulator that blends strategy (high level deployment of units), tactics (RTS-style) and then the ability to jump in and control individuals units. Kinda like that weird mode in CoD BO2, but on a grander scale.

2) An open world racing game with lots of upgrades including weaponry. Something like NFS: The Run, with guns, and much less linear (the concept of driving across America is fine but give people freedom to choose their own routes)

3) A modern space combat game, reasonably arcadey with the focus on graphics, storyline and combat (as opposed to trading, physics, multiplayer). A sequel to Freespace 2 would be fine ;)

Give me:

Codename Eagle again (LOVED that game).

A decent Deus Ex remake. Gritty, riveting storyline with a complex and fun RPG system with genuine options.

Half Life 3 with Counter Strike 2. None of this Global Offensive rubbish (which I genuinely think will prove to be a bad idea in the medium to long term), give me a clean cut shooter like CS 1.6 and Source.

A decent space game. Complex with a plethora of options.

New System Shock.

Oh and more point and click adventures. Playing BS 1 + 2 with my brothers was win.

Finally.

DUNGEON KEEPER AND THIEF!

Dungeon Keeper 3

Would still play dg2 if i could get it stable.

War for the Overworld on its way !

If by that you mean the first Quake, then i'm with you on that. They need John Romero back, Quake 2 let me down so much when I first played it :(

Yes, I mean Quake 1. :)

I liked Quake 2, but Q1 is more my kind of thing. Speaking of John Romero, have you seen MattChat's interview with him on Quake?

Interesting, cheers for that :)
Nice to finally have some insight of the development, wouldn't have thought they had such a hard time making the game given how polished it felt. Sad most of the team were just 'done' after that.

Just goes to show that what we see is the finished article, the cherry on the cake if you like, but the amount of effort required must be immense. I remember reading about the development of Unreal (single player). Iirc, at one point the team was working something like eighty + hour weeks for about a year.

Hehe that doesn't surprise me one bit, given that Unreal was like the Crysis 3 (graphically) of the 90's :p I remember being so blown away by that game, need to play it again!

Indeed Unreal 1 Still rates highest on my nostalgia list mainly due to the fact that no game has been as atmospherically involving as this was t'was a true masterpiece!

Half-Life 3 that they have made like Skyrim as a massive open world game the size of Just Cause 2 with Alyx and Kleiner and the whole gang but the story was written by Ken Levine and it has a Portal song at the end.

And it was released this Thursday 'cos I'm off work on Friday (woo-hoo!).

I'm replaying Bioshock Infinite on Friday amn't I? That or Skyrim.

stalker 2

Woah, mini mind-blown there. I was a little disappointed by clear sky but The Zone in the original Stalker (I still refuse to do all the little dots) was one of my favourite gameworlds of all time. S.T.A.L.K.E.R (ok I'll do it if it helps them release it) 2 could be amazing.

Any idea on a release date? Google claims it was either abandoned, bought out or due for release in December 2012
