Sleeping Dogs performance

I've not experienced that issue im afraid Tom but that sounds like a game issue rather than a driver issue.

Hmm, so it probational is normal then? Was just a bit concerned. :)

EDIT - Capping FPS to 58 may help? What app can I use to do this?

I've Googled it and it seems to be a common problem with all people on Google aswell. It's not horrible stuttering it's just noticeable and small things like that send the OCD in me crazy.

I'm sure it's because of the rapid FPS fluctuations like for one instance being at 60FPS and then turning around and looking into the distance and it suddenly dropping to 40 because of the extra strain.

I think I've just given up trying to get this game to run properly. In some areas I'll get a constant 60FPS and in some others I'll struggle to get 30FPS.

Really frustrating.

Maybe you need to turn the details down a bit? Try turning SSAA to normal.

Its a brilliant game.

I'm not much of a gamer in all fairness. I have a problem with saving money, i tend to spend every penny i earn :(
If i see a game, i tend to buy it even though i have no intention of actually playing the game. Most my friends games they own are gifted from me

I do exactly the same with hardware, buy it either keep it and never use or give away, i've got quite a bit to actually sell just too kin' lazy to actually list anything on the MM.

I'm so kin' lazy i actually order food 6 nights a week, and because the minimum order is £12 i buy food to reach the minimum and throw most of it in the bin. Enough about me

I've stepped all the graphical settings up so I don't get a constant high FPS at times if that makes sense... I think more stress on my GPU results in not as many FPS drops. Sure, the FPS isn't as high as last time but I think I'm noticing less stuttering/hitching. The game looks amazing.

I notice it mainly when turning corners, driving fast.

I have a bit of a problem. Whatever setting I make with regards to 60fps my monitor refresh stays on 120hz. I have no other resolution option other than 1920 x 1080 @ 119hz.

If I change to 60fps limit it still runs the monitor @ 120hz and does not seem to actually run @ 60fps. I would have thought that once you change to 60fps then the monitor refesh rate would back down to 60?? I would have thought that if it was running @ 60fps then you would get frame lag blur because of the difference between the refresh rate and the FPS, just like running @ 30fps on a 60hz monitor.

The game runs smooth but does drop frames from time to time but I plan on using a 360 pad so 120hz will not be necessary and I want a solid 60fps. Is there any way to bring it down to 60hz other than using a non duel link cable??

You should be able to change the refresh rate in the driver control panel, or you can use msi afterburner to set an fps limit of 60.
