Unlike Twitter and Sky News the BBC actually like to check their facts before posting stuff, hence the 'delay'.

On the positive side, it means you don't get "OMG here's his Twitter account" only to find out it's fake.

They made the mistake of releasing the pre-recorded information too during 9/11, so they are making sure it doesn't happen again this time by broadcasting everything late /tinfoilhat :p

In the NRA's defense, you'd probably want a gun, knowing he's local and looking for shelter. What do you think he's going to do? He's going to do a home invasion, probably kill the occupants and stay there until the siege ends.

That's the odd thing though, if the NRA were to be believed the guy should have been shot dead by now at the hands of one of the 'good guys' with a gun.

In reality they've have had to call out the County and State Police, all heavily armed along with the Army. So where's America's 'armed militia' when you need them?

Don't think it would make much difference if he's wearing an explosive jacket unless guns can somehow disarm a bomb.

Besides the Police advice is "stay indoors and lock all your doors" not "grab your guns and get ready to be a hero!"
