Guys, can you see if there is some nice black cheap-ish RAM 16GB 4x4GB and could I use a 750Watt PSU on this thing?

For 2x Radeon HD 7950 graphics cards in 2-way CrossFireX mode AMD specifies 750W (or greater) power supply with four 75W 6-pin PCI Express power connect. Also The power supply should also have a combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 46 Amps or greater. You should be OK with a good quality 750W PSU, but I would go higher if you want to overclock.

On the memory front, you will only save £5 by opting for Crucial.

Can you save some cash on a less extravagant CPU cooler?

As others have said, I recommend a SSD... 256GB should do.

There is in the spec I did for you (this week only). Thing is, if you're not buying until August, prices will fluctuate, so there's no real point in asking until you're ready to order

Yeah, I will lower the PSU and go for a cheaper cooler.

I'm going to bet this rig won't happen.
Given the incoming 7XX and Haswell, it's also a pointless thread, as these options won't be options anymore.

Thanks, I'll see whats on offer when Haswell comes out, but for now, sticking with the update build.
