*** The Official Samsung Galaxy S4 Thread ***

@thecremeegg

Indeed! It looks soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better when that is done, the back of mrk's note II looks a hundred times nicer now! :D :cool:

@Tatsuki

Yup that is also what concerns me! Not only have they added a ton more stuff in but they have moved further away from the design/layout of stock android.

Didn't realise he's done that, will need to find a pic. Good news regarding carphone warehouse but shame I'm not at work on Friday and its being delivered there :p

3 e-mailed to confirm I will be getting mine on Friday! :)

My S-view cover arrived today, looks mega!

Excited like a kid at christmas!

Somehow, Carphone Warehouse have my name and mobile number (I seriously have no idea how!) and have sent me a text linking me to their website and various £36pm deals, advising me to pre-order now and get the accessory pack too.

I would want it sim free and stop gathering my information from other sources :p

Text message deleted.

EDIT: Oh and when I say my name I mean the nickname I use at work and on my Gmail account but not on my bank account, mobile phone contract etc.

What are Three like? Seriously considering the All you can eat plan for £35 and free phone. Being from Northern Ireland they weren't that big here so never used them before but seemingly their coverage map is saying that the coverage is pretty good.

Any chance of you getting your hands on a Three PAYG sim tomorrow and seeing what coverage you get at home and at work? For me, coverage wise, they're a bit better than T-Mobile but that's just because I live where I live.

Fraid not, I'd have to actually buy one. Would like to get the order in tomorrow morning as CPW told me they will have one for Saturday if I do. I can't really ask them either because I honestly know more than they do and they constantly push O2 here because it's so widely used but O2 really is awful.

U.S reviews slating the S4 a bit saying HTC one or iPhone 5 is a better option.

Selection of quotes below:
"Your smartphone should not be a source of stress. With its new Galaxy S4, it seems Samsung may not have gotten the memo"

Typical Samsung "feels cheap in my hand"

"The HTC One is a powerful, feature-rich device that is also beautiful and classy, while Samsung's handset feels like an overpowered children's toy"

"If you want the most polished phone with the best selection of apps, the iPhone 5 still has no peer"

Lets see what Apple offer in autumn

I personally think the sites were too harsh on the GS 4 and put too much thought/emphasis on the design/materials.

Brian's review (anandtech) seemed the most fair/unbiased out of them all.

Yeah but for the money it's far too plastic, it just isn't competitive in that respect and that's the number 1 priority for me

Awaits flaming, but its not hard to do polish when you are basically a gird of icons and limited functionality. As to the apps, that is frustrating, Android is so far ahead it is laughable and yet Apple gets all the treatment. I thought by now we would be past that.

Ordered my micro SD card and my S-View cover about a week ago and click for the rainforest to send them at the same time.

Get an email from the rainforest today to tell me they're sending my micro SD card first and that they'll send the rest of my order once its in stock :(

Shock at "initial supplies of new device kept low to create sold out on day one buzz"... Seems to be fast becoming standard marketing practise for any new launch.
