Thread on Jalopnik managed to help them get their car back a few weeks ago
.

So... what generally happens in cases like this? How would it have been stolen without the keys? And what you would thieves do to shift it? It's only worth a few thousand so seems like a lot of effort to steal it and try and shift for a few k.
Quite easy, they could have just lifted it onto a low loader, broke in, maybe you left it unlocked, maybe they had the codes for the central locking (there are ways around this).
maybe they just want a joyride ? or some partsSo... what generally happens in cases like this? How would it have been stolen without the keys? And what you would thieves do to shift it? It's only worth a few thousand so seems like a lot of effort to steal it and try and shift for a few k.

Your taking it very well.
Hope you get it back
Its only a car at the end of the day.
What would him going completely spastic over it achieve? Not a great deal.

tried it on with me when my FN2 was damaged, offered me a golf GTI as a like for like then tried to charge me the extra over a bog std 1.0 ltr courtesy car, luckilly I had an e-mail trail of correspondense or they might have humped me for an additional £500 notes
