"We have just been informed by Samsung UK that the Sim Free versions of the Samsung Galaxy S4 will be delayed until next week.

This will impact all Sim Free retailers.

Our stock is now expected middle of next week."

wondering if i should just bail and wait for the note3... but my origenal note is craaaaawling now :(

We're in the exact same boat.
 
Seems as though I will be getting mine next Saturday.

Phones4U had 4,500 pre-orders nationwide and only 2,500 devices. Feel bad for people who had pre-ordered the phone.
 
Well, I saw a few dispaly units at P4U @ Westfield, Shepherds Bush last night.....look pretty nice. The bods there reckon they won't be selling any until Monday now....
Still, I bagged a HO instead :p

Whilst i am not surprised these companies do annoy me. When i ordered from P4U yesterday morning they still had a message saying "order now for delivery on the 26th April!" They blatantly knew they wouldnt fulfill all the orders ages ago....

I am not too fussed anyway, as long as it is with me before my recycle quote for my S3 with Carphone Warehouse is up i will be ok.

Due to overwhelming global demand for Galaxy S4, the initial supply has been delayed until Wednesday May the 1st. We do however expect your order to be fulfilled by the end of next week

All available stock will be used to fulfill pre-orders before going into our stores and we are working with stockiest to ensure that all pre-orders are fulfilled as quickly as possible

We will however contact you on completing your order to confirm delivery.
 
Shocking inept launch again by Samsung. Again I think they under estimated demand or actually limiting numbers for some reason. Only 4500 pre-orders for phones4u and ONLY 2500 devices available, is this a joke?!
 
Considering Samsung should have full control of the manufacturing process, could they be deliberately limiting stock to try and stoke the fire a bit more? Wouldn't surprise me.

i was going to say this yesterday when the turd hit the fan but i left it alone.. i think that might be the reason really..

it goes against their "plastic is easy to produce in high quantities" bs they were going about..

Apple have been doing it for years - cant see why people are surprised to see Samsung following suit.

There are sometimes issues with iPhones in this fashion, but usually the stock levels are a lot higher, the demand also tends to be a lot higher as well, but I'm not sure on the GS4 demand at the moment.
