The PS3 at launch was over £400 in the UK and still sold better than the Wii U has.
Likewise in the US the PS3 was $599 and sales didn't fall below 80k per month, the Wii U has had a month where it sold 57k in the US.
Third party support is usually bad for Nintendo, but it seems even worse, the Wii U isn't even getting the next Fifa game which is telling since EA usually put Fifa on pretty much everything.
Pretty much everything that could have gone wrong with the Wii U has gone wrong, let's see.
-next to no 3rd parties
-ps4/720 are monsters spec wise with all the 3rd parties supporting them
-no 1st party games because of delays
-buggy and slow os
-bad marketing
-bad online service
-digital games linked to hardware and not account
-a lot of consumers still think the gamepad is an addon for the original Wii
-1 year headstart completely wasted
Seriously what were Nintendo doing for the 2 years that they stopped putting out first party games on the Wii? Since we won't be getting another first party game for the Wii U till at least August with Pikmin 3 and that's if we get it around the same time as the US, it could be longer.
