I'm afraid it doesn't fella. An overclocked 3570K uses less juice than the 8350 at stock too by the way.

We spec intel because it makes for a much better all round rig. Yes it's a bit more dosh but it does have an IGP. For those of us that use a dedicated GPU the IGP can be used for quicksync to help with video encoding and with LucidMVP you can switch between the IGP and the dedicated GPU as needed to save on the power bill.

If you want an AMD build that's your call. The video above infact shows that BF3 had a lower minimum FPS which is what you want to be worried about.

You've had some nice intel specs. RJC has done an AMD build for you here. With that Z9 U3 case I would seriously suggest getting a modular PSU from experience and the USB3 header adapter for it is a nice addition.

Best of luck with the build

Josh - Look at some real benchmarks as in 95% of games the i5 beats the 8350 I cant beleive your listening to this youtube idiot. If its a case of value for money then the 8350 is a good CPU but actual gaming performance in games that use a maximum of 4 cores (which is nearly all games except 2-3 games) the 3570k beats the 8350 let alone looking at the i7....

I agree with ethermaster. The 8350 isn't a bad CPU but your missing a trick not listening to us. We are not fanboi's in the slighest, so for a lot of people to suggest you look at an Intel build and you dismiss them is not constructive.

If you want to be one if those people who puts numbers ("i have 8 cores.. Uhuhhhu") before performance so be it.. We've said our bit.

i have a 3770k and an 8350 and the 8350 with the same g-card is about 10 fps lower, when doing crossfire the fps is all over the show on BF3 ranging between 70 and 140 whereas crossfire on the i7 stays stable and goes up and down when it should. from experience get the intel if you can its the same price and it's better, i actually regret not getting the i5 as the amd has let me down

This is like the 6th thread he's made, he's been continuously told what to buy.
He's just a troll.
I mean with an OP like "The FX8350 destroys the 3570k, no Intel fanboys", give me a break.
If he genuinely believes that he should be banned for being stupid.

Agreed Martini,

If he was doing thread heavy tasks as well as gaming on a budget so he couldnt get an i7, then the 8320 makes sense. But other than that I dont really see much point getting an 8320. Seeing as it doesnt have as good as overclocking performance and you need to spend more money on a motherboard to get decent VRM's.
