LOVE it

Why thank you Pigeon Sniffer :)

:D

The official Team of the Season has been named at tonights PFA awards (according to sources)

De Gea

Zabaleta
Ferdinand
Vertonghen
Baines

Mata
Carrick
Hazard
Bale

Suarez
Van Persie

Joe Hart has 15 Premier League clean sheets this season, three more than any other goalkeeper

Clean sheets are a TEAM stat, the best keeper in the world won't have a clean sheet if the midfield and defence are woeful all game, and the worst keeper in the world could get 30 clean sheets with the best defence and midfield ahead of them, its a nothing stat.

Hmm, bit late to this! Mine would be:

De Gea

Zabaleta -- Vertonghen -- Williams -- Baines

Carrick

Mata -- Cazorla -- Bale

Suarez -- RvP

Honorable mentions for Michu, Lukaku, Benteke, Dembele, Nastasic, Rafael, who'd all get into a young/upcoming team, and Rio who is still surprisingly solid.

From a Liverpool point of view, Henderson has improved incredibly, and I can't wait to see a full season where Coutinho and Sturridge can really bed in, and Sterling can start to build on the first half of this season. It's potentially rather exciting, for a change!

Isn't this more of an argument for Kompany or Nastasic's inclusion than for Hart to be left out?

I'm not having De Gea. Fine, he's been immeasurably better than he was last season, but that wasn't hard.

Anyway. It's only a bit of nonsense.

DM speaks the truth here.

You would say that being a Man U fan tho...

... he is certainly past it, and has been abused on many occasions, not only this season, but last season too.

I very much disagree, he's been a rock solid defender this season. You can't have seen much of him.

Who's been better? I don't think any CBs have stood out in particular this year, certainly not in the same way that Kompany did last year, for example.

I mentioned in my long post that I felt that there were players who were more deserving of a place in the Team of the Season and that have played better than Ferdinand, I don't think it's a ridiculous inclusion though. He's had some very good games this season.

There have been a number of high profile players who haven't played as well as they're capable of this season, Vidic, Kompany, Toure, Ageuro, Tevez, Rooney... just to name a few.
