Jamie Carragher joins Sky Sports

Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher will join the Sky Sports punditry team for the 2013/14 season.

The 35-year-old, who will retire from playing at the end of the current campaign, will work alongside the likes of Gary Neville, Graeme Souness, Jamie Redknapp and Alan Smith next term when Sky Sports brings you over 500 matches from the domestic, European and International games.

Been pretty good when he was with ITV, could be a good move for him. Just wish they would get rid of Redknapp & Souness.

At least Mr Neville has wit, willing to set himself up and is highly self deprecating.

Carragher can barely string a single sentence together that isn't filled with cliches.

I have no problem with his punditry however his voice is horrific. The accent is fine but he has a high pitched squeaky voice.

He won't be as good as Neville because let's face it no one is but he's been a fairly good neutral pundit whenever I've seen him previously.

Look it could be worse, just wait till Captaim Starfish retires and we have him on the box :eek:
