Facebook on the decline ?

Did you read the article? It even says in the article that it could just be no big deal, hardly "fast becoming the new MySpace"!
 
Whilst facebook most likely is not in decline the amount of activity on there probably is.

Theres only so much crap people can post about their lives the majority of my facebook news feed is filled with stupid pictures like "share this if you are a mindless idiot"
 
I don't think it is on decline, just people are not so excited about it anymore, but people still use it, but just less often? I have no idea, just my opinion. :)
 
Facebook just aggravates me anyway..

All I see everyday is people who went to School the same time as me uploading baby pics, though haven't a job or even a stable relationship to support the poor bugger.
 
20 mil out of 1bil is hardly anything to care about.. :) it might decline in one thing and get better at others.. like the new facebook home turd for mobiles..
 
I think facebook as a platform for constantly sharing inane crap is on the decline. Or maybe that's just because i'm sensible and hide/delete those people. As a messaging service though, i use it more than texts, skype, whatsapp etc etc combined as do most of my friends.
 
I was quite active on there up until a year or so ago.

My news feed seemed full of folk liking images to cure cancer/to say they have an "L" in their name/declare love for their mothers, etc, etc. Then there's the people who constantly share images of apparently life changing quotes they think everyone else should stare at. You hide these people and then have to listen to people either pretending how brilliant their life is or moaning about how upset they are...

Deactivated my account yesterday. It offers nothing to me at all I get nothing from it and they stand to make a lot from me. As Rossi has just said blocking adverts on pc is fine but I get a lot of them on my phone. Most of the stuff I see people post on there is of little to no interest to me, in fact before I deactivated I had gone through and stopped posts for a lot of people even appearing which then makes you wonder why bother? I don't like how everything tries to tie it self to Facebook. Not everyone wants it so please don't try and force it.
