Stuart Hall Arrested

bloody hell, everyone who was on tv in the 70-80's seems to be a kiddie fiddler. wonder if any of the Blue Peter gang were up to it too?

How on EARTH can you prosecute someone for something like this that happened years ago?

What POSSIBLE evidence would anybody have?

Just someones word against yours. Its completely ridiculous.

Its like a reverse minority report.. for past crimes.

Errrr, police reports, witness statements, video surveillance, forensic evidence (savvy victims may have kept items).
Hopefully these scumbags will be made an example of provided they can be proved guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law obviously.

BBC broadcaster Stuart Hall has admitted 14 charges of indecently assaulting girls including one aged nine.

The 83-year-old of Wilmslow, Cheshire, pleaded guilty at Preston Crown Court to the offences, involving 13 victims, which occurred between 1967 and 1985.

Three charges of indecent assault and one of rape will lie on the court file.

His lawyer said Hall apologised to his victims and added: "He is all too aware that his disgrace is complete."

Kids as young as 9. Not so easy to get him off the hook with 'he probably didn't know how young she was.'

Both he and Ken Barlow live in Wilmslow so why are they under the jurisdiction of Lancashire Constabulary and not Cheshire?

A ton of rape apologists and women haters suddenly have a lot of egg on their face.

A 9 year old was molested and others raped yet they think its pointless "bringing it up".

Ah, is that how it works? Seems a bit daft. If he had done it in Cornwall, they'd have officers traipsing up all the way up to Cheshire to arrest him?
I would have thought that Cheshire Police would make the initial arrest following a request from another police force. That police force would then send officers to transport him down to their force area for interrogation. I'm not a police officer but that is my guess from years of watching The Bill. :D
