So pretty much all TVs of a certain size these days are HD (1080p) displays. HD has become the standard, even if a lot of people still have SD in their homes.
Yet Sky charge over £120 a year for the privilege of watching HD broadcasts - extra on top of your channel subscription. Even then Sky's HD is 1080i or 720p, compared to 1080p recently provided by Freeview (source: google).
Now I know Sky is a business and we should all throw our money at them because greed is good (this is GD, most of you are Tories
), but at what point should Sky just drop the HD charge and let us all move with the times?
