*** The Official Samsung Galaxy S4 Thread ***

Been rung up by Phones4u twice today - once at 11am saying that they were short of stock and my order was being delayed til next week and another at 4pm saying that the previous call was a mistake and my order has now been dispatched nd is due to arrive tomorrow... WTF?!

Have many people been getting the pink screen dilemma? Last think I want is to have to ring them back up to return my phone if that's the case with mine1

Mine has it. But Phones 4 U really impressed me. I ordered on line, but have one reserved at the Phones 4U store around the corner from where i work. I am going in to swap it at lunchtime tomorrow :)

Nothing more than the email I posted earlier.

Track and Trace on the Royal Mail website STILL doesn't work so I'm not convinced I'll be getting it tomorrow. I was fine with waiting but if it doesn't turn up tomorrow then they have clearly lied to me and I'll be certain to let them know what I think about that. I'm going to request a refund for the delivery charge even if it does turn up tomorrow - just don't want to raise that until I've got it.

Received notification that it should be getting dispatched tomorrow and with me Saturday. w00t! Should Probably organise a PAC code from my other phone...

Fingers crossed there's not more problems, and goodluck with the new handset their going to give you

Really good listen, thanks :)

Loved the "people think I am a basement dweller"

"the average user is an idiot"

Lol! :D

Pretty much agree with everything he/they said personally, especially about the advanced camera features i.e. shutter speed!

Interesting regarding the comments on the USA htc one camera....

Brian really doesn't seem to like the SAMOLED panel though, it is a bit deceiving the way Samsung have that "adobe RGB" preset........ also it is so true what he says about the sub pixel arrangement, it isn't really a "pentile" arrangement, just isn't RGB. So people can't bring "pentile" up as being a con! :p :D

Got to play with one of these today and in terms of feel was not impressed. Much prefer the S3 in the hand. Maybe it is the weight but it feels so light that somehow it equates to cheap. Not that it has bothered me with the S3 but the S4 just didn't feel right for some reason.

Ordered mine on the 22nd of April, Started to enquire after stock was released about when i will be receiving my phone so i rang chitter chatter today spoke to one of the advisers and they said they are very sorry due to having very limited stock in black and having only one left which has been reserved for someone else and has been issued out to them,

From Chitter Chatter:
Please accept my apologies as there is a very limited supply of the S4s and currently none are available in black. The one reserved was already re-issued out on a pre-order that came before yours unfortunately. As soon as more are in stock we will issue them ASAP. The white S4s are the only ones in stock at the moment. I have spoken to my manager about this but there is nothing we can do about the shortage of S4s.
We have been told in a weeks time more in black will be shipped in.

So I am in the USA at the moment and its 699$ sim free (let's assume 10% sales tax so 770$ which is ~500£ which I am happy with, but I will be living in Canada for a year or so before coming back to the UK, will there be any issues getting a US version when in Canada/UK?

G'morning all,

So last night was the first night me and my SGS4 spent together. We went to be about midnight, she's was fully charged.

I wake up this morning and she's only 92% charged.

Should I have left it on charge all night for the first charge? Or are there other energy saving tips/hints that some of you have that you may wish to share with me? On iOS you used to just double click and then hold down the apps on the pop up bar at the bottom to stop the apps being 'active' and therefore save battery but I can't find a similar function on the SGS4.

Tips would be very much appreciated.

Phone tips, not bedroom tips.

Well on my sgs2 I press and hold the home button and release and task manager comes up press then then at the top theres a tab for active apps.

Ordered on orange as upgrade.

not a brilliant deal but happy enough

£36 for 500 minutes ul txt and 750 MB data. free s4 + I get a 25% discount through perks so works out at £27 a month. I'll sell my s2 for around 100-120 meaning a contract cost of 528 - 548. Happy enough with that.
