Gave the deore brakes a baptism of fire, did follow the dog and monkey trail at Cannock. The brakes are amazing, already feel more powerful than the elixir 5's ever were. Didnt bother with bedding them in before hand, I let the trail do it for me

. Managed to do the whole trail in 1hr30mins approx, last time it took me 2hr10 mins approx, I only had 1 rest this time so my legs are feeling it. Did all the black sections except for the one after the never ending switch backs, far too dodgy for me. Me canyon was flawless, it never skipped a beat, brakes, suspension, grip, tyre pressure and gear change was just mint never had that before so it felt weird!
On the first black section on monkey trail, it starts with a little rock garden, then a berm hairpin into a drop, once I came round the hair pin to the drop I realised I wasn't going no where near fast enough and my body wanted to bail but it didn't n luckily I stopped right on the edge, pushed me bike back up for a run up, then all of a sudden had 4-5 people standing there watching me, it's not a big drop, big enough to smash your crank/down tube if you messed up though. I made it and shot off without turning back to look like a pr0

.
Looked like a nasty accident onset the end, an ambulance was called and had to drive up to the poor sod!
