Having so many client issues recently... Maestro error after every update... not responding when going to spectate a friend... no post game screen and thus have to reload the entire client (happens mostly on ARAM). Tried completely uninstalling the game before and reinstalling it but to no avail..
Is there any way to check my normal ELO by the way? I'm only level 26 and started to get into games with people in Silver and on the odd occasion someone from Gold. Feels good to finally have some decent team mates and a quite good challenge/insight into what can be expected when I start playing ranked.

Please release all the bad thing this child has done in the past!
lol king will tell you roughly what it thinks you are and then tracvk it up or down on wins and losses.
it's expected that low diamond league are 1900-2000 and low silver are 1100-1200
but you can be in gold and have a low elo if you lose a lot on the trot.
My only tip with ranked is Chin up, ignore the kids and try no matter what.
You can turn games around and positivity will make your team work better. AS soon as you descend to their level it is lost for sure. So if they call you bad ignore it don't point out their mistakes do nothing (it's really hard to do all the time btw) I get drawn into flame wars a little too often but when I avoid them and just play I usually better myself for one and we often win.
You will get **** team mates you will get bad duoq noobs and you will get people who say it's lost as soon as one tower is gone. You can't tell them anything you can only proove it's not lost.
you can win after 40 mins with one ACE The game is never lost if you can keep your team focused on objectives and they will never achieve that if you flame them or entertain their stupidity... Watch pro games they rarely have 40+ kills in but they last 30-40 mins because objectives win games not farm not score. All farm does is allow one char to turn a game around in it's favour. Still requires team work to close the deal.
Now I just need to take my own advice and climb out of this losing streak I'm in in silver V.

Thanks for the advice haha. I'm sure I'll take everything into consideration. The only thing I'm dooming is that once I hit 30 and start playing ranked that I'll have these sort of team mates which you've expressed yourself, and thus end up losing a lot of my placement games... the reason why I'm scared of this is because I'm hopefully looking to be placing in atleast Silver so I don't have to go through Bronze (especially low Bronze)
I can only echo the sentiments. Did a duo today and after a minute I lost internet for must have been minutes. I was top lane and came back to my tower gone. Our mid continued to whine throughout the whole game - even commenting on my farm/level despite my disconnection lol 
Long story short - we won the game, the disconnection probably helped us - they tried to push in the lane quick and our cait had good farm bottom

that's interesting.
I work best with lulu's or leonas but I can work well with a thresh or a taric. But as a support a good taric is probably the best any adc can hope for insilver 5.
The bit i struggle with atm is being mobile enough for the team. Sometimes **** goes down when it shouldn't but how do you get your team to stop splitting away from the dmg dealers?
Seems like every game I play atm people don't come together well as a team. The see a fight they run in with no regard for the team movement at all. That or they just have no regard for team mates at all and go Man mode in everyfight.
No awareness of their team mates limitations.
As varus for example you can't just leap a wall to stay engaged but I keep getting those fights that are split around objects and I need to work out how better to combat this as it's clear I'm going to be stuck here for a while till I get good enough to carry this level up a level.

I've set up a couple if rune pages, ad, ap and tank and I'm saving up IP the whole way.
Got a decent set of champions to play with hopefully i don't encounter too many retards.
If it was just recently the servers had severe packet loss there a night or two ago and lots of people were having problems.
Given Taric a try as he's free this week. Enjoyed te few games I've played so far.

Welcome to LoL's community. I'm afraid it will only go downhill now and get worse. I used to enjoy lower level games but people become more and more toxic as you level up. The only advice I can give is to either play ranked or play with friends. I gave up solo queuing as the community is so so bad. The arguments start right from champion selection at 20+
I have uninstalled it and hopefully they will bring in premade queues as on option for solo players - ie you choose top lane and just enter a queue. I doubt they ever will but you never know! Leave the current system in place for people who enjoy the arguments to enter champion selection, but I would love the option of premade. Even if they just had a toxicity rating where the more you get reported the lower it gets and you get match made against people of similar elo and toxic rating

rune pages are tough at first as it's expensive to build them all so you have to start with an allrounder whilst you earn the ip to build more specific ones.
Almost every rune page will need Magic Res or magic res per level runes I think it's blue glyphs that are the best for it.
Anyway The runes I'd definitely buy are
Marks of magic penetration
Marks of ability power
Marks of attack damage
MArks of armour pen
Magic res per level glyphs
Armour seals
AP quints
AD quints
Gold per 5 quints
I think you can make almost every page you will need with them. Some chars can accept specialist pages that really help them but Overall I find i use the same AD page for every AD champ. Same tank page etc

I don't normally do ranked but I've done a few over the last few days, I'm 2 wins away from being in the promotion bracket, think I'm position 7 in Silver II. Been strange though, there has been no flaming in ranked, even when I went 1/4 in the laning phase against Lee Sin.
Feel I'm improving as a player for sure, got 187 CS, 1 tower and a kill the other day at 20 mins which I was very happy with.
