** Star Trek Into Darkness **Spoilers!!**

Awesome. I loved it. Easily as good as the first. A few brilliant surprises too. Abrams, you sneaky bugger. :D

Saw it a couple of hours ago in 2D. Really enjoyed it and, as ROB75 has said, it was as good as the first and I was happy to pay cinema prices for the experience.

Saw it earlier in an almost empty cinema in London...... well sadly its not anywhere near as good as ST09.

Lacking storywise mainly it just plays out like a by the numbers with no great mystery reveal TV story on a big budget.

I would give ST09 10/10

STID I would give 7/10 its just not that memorable & unlikely to win many new fans Paramount should get an all new behind the scenes team on the next movie keep ILM but everyone else can go away AFAIC :(

The JJ mystery box is empty yet again but thats not even the biggest problem this movie has it just lacks the magic of the last movie :o

Just watched it and hated it, about 3/10(being generous)

Was just a bad retread of Wrath of Khan, with a nonsensical plot.

I didnt feel anything for the characters or the jeopardy they were in as five minutes later you knew everything would be fine.

Understand why you would rate it low mate it could have been a lot better not even sure why they had to re-use Khan it made no real sense did it!

Just got back and really enjoyed it.

Did think that the use of Khan was unneeded. But since he's back in the pod there is a chance of him returning as Khan in a later movie.

Hhhhmm couple of early reviews here seem to match what was said in the Anticool review earlier......he went to the trouble of creating his own ST universe with the last film but chose to link back (and not very well by the sounds of it) to previous ST films/aspects in this one.

What, Khan is in it?
Gary Mitchell
 according to the end credits but that's not even the problem with this movie the character motivations & poor direction plus rushed feel to many scenes & sloppy story line :(

Enterprise can warp anywhere in an instant according to this movie it can travel 44 light years in a few seconds & even at warp speed can change direction when badly damaged by another ship  but the way a major character is killed then brought back to life in a few mins of screentime is bordering on the ridiculous & badly directed you do not feel any emotion when your supposed to feel very upset a main character is killed.

Cumberbatch is also terrible in this he is totally bored & it shows onscreen he is given so little to work with his part is just an extended cameo. The whole movie feels like a big budget US TV sci-fi show. Shocking for a 4 years in the making movie :(

I thoroughly enjoyed it. 8/10. That AinItCool review is ridiculous, they moan that it is too much like the originals, and then moan that it is not enough like the originals to have the same feel .

ST09 did not create a new universe, they just created a new time-line. Not having the same characters, races and similar plots would be stupid. The explosion of Vulcan would not have made the Klingons peaceful, the Borg nature lovers and the Ferengi charitable, so there is no reason why future films could not have all these characters in the same situations.

I liked the Klingons being similar looking, but not exactly the same.

As I was leaving, I looked up at the credits and I am sure it mentioned Jennifer Morrison and Chris Hemsworth as Kirk's parents, but can't remember any point in the film that there even were flash backs?

You would prefer the film was 12 hours long to account for the speed of a starship? These films have always skipped the space travel sections, unless like Voyager, they were the point.

Again, you would prefer to sit in the cinema for three days waiting for the character to heal?

I would prefer to not be treated like an idiot by the film makers.

If only that were the problem the whole setup was amateurish for a mega budget movie it was actually embarrassing to watch as it made you think your watching a fantasy dream sequence!

and......

Spock crying and screaming Khaaaaaan! That was really cringeworthy, the original Kirk and Spock would have never done that.
