Sounds like the engine fell off.
Yes definitely sounds like the engine fell off.

This actually is pretty close to what happened by the looks of it.Yes definitely sounds like the engine fell off.

I recently had the cambelt changed and he said I need to bring this up with the garage because it COULD be caused by not being put back together properly after having it done.

This post might just save your arse!Did you get that done at an Audi dealer ? You need to remove the engine mount to change the cam belt on the TFSI, part of the dealer instructions advise they should replace the bolts on the mount with new ones. This is often overlooked by non VAG garages and some dealers, it can cause the mount to fail if the old bolts work loose.
EDIT Just saw it was done at an Audi dealer ask them to produce the instructions and then show you the replacement bolts on the invoice.
What car is it? On the A3 I didn't think you had to touch the engine mount for a cambelt change.
looking to be popping my audi cherry soon
just hoping I could get a few tips and pointers when going out to look with potential to buy at cars and if there's are sure signs of a "no go".
since then I have been addicted to the A4.... maybe a little obsessive. I've been looking for about 2 years now keeping an eye on various car sites

(anyone buys my plate so help me god!!!!)
I've already been looking at possible retrofits, all the different mods and things people have done and am overly impressed!!! to be honest the only mod I can see myself doing shortly after getting the car would be to add an AUX in line to the headunit (which looks easy as pie with the symphony2+ ..and that model plays mp3 cds
) maybe further down the line I might do some other mods as I have a few friends in the car scene (stancing and all that, closest i think i would get is slightly lowered on springs xD )

Para - I'm looking to get an SE Technik Avant with the 163 TDI engine as a company car. How has yours been over the last months? It is SE Technik spec, yes.

Any options that are must haves?
Is there any standard Bluetooth phone connections or do I need to spec the Low Bluetooth option?

What colour are those seats, there is no white optionMuch nicer interior this time too, rather than the dull black on black with black bits.
