I'm a tree killer now

Well, I picked it up this evening. Drove 40 miles home on a mix of A and B roads. Managed 18mpg which isn't too bad.
Looks like one of the front drop links needs replacing as I have a very slight clunk when shifting between drive and reverse while on full lock with the brakes on. Not a big job. I'll do it on Saturday.

I have to say though, what a great place to be when driving. A massively commanding view of the road and even the biggest pot holes are just soaked up. Decent stereo too.

Very happy indeed.

I bought one too, although mine is slower than yours :D Im not such a fan of the black interior to be honest but its still amazing and i bet you are absolutely chuffed with it (i went for cream interior, personal choice i know, i just like light interiors).

Amazing cars, as you say the feel when driving it is fantastic. It feels SO big though, an utter tank. It is going to take quite some getting used to, and thats coming from other big cars like S-Class and 7-Series. It wont even fit under the height restriction on the Park&Ride in Oxford :p

Ironically, CO2 is actually good for trees :)

I have to give my 2 pence, I'm not a fan, I imagine it's lovely inside, lovely to drive around in, but I don't see the need for it, a nice estate would be just as good in 9 out of 10 situations.

Each to their own though enjoy!

Yeah but who wants to be a sub par situation 1 time in 10 ;)

I'll just leave this here

4.2 litres and 400bhp of supercharged goodness.

That drive looks uncannily like a private trader that sold me my 4.6V8 X5 a few years ago, wouldnt happen to be near a certain airport near london?

Nope. Private sale from a couple in Hampshire. Definitely not traders.

Put the suspension in access mode. It drops to the deck then.

I will have to measure how much height i save, i might (just) get into the garage i intended to use if i can lose a few inches. :)

Once again awesome car, keep us updated how you find living with it, be interesting to compare how you feel about yours compared with how i find mine to be, reliability et all :)

Will you be using yours much? Mine is looking to probably be doing around 10k/annum so not tons. Hopefully it will hold together :p

It does look similar for sure.
No way were these guys traders though. I thought the woman was going to break down in to tears when I drove her Rangie away.

Apart from the nice high driving position so you can see over the cars infront which makes for a much easier/more relaxing drive.

For those that dont see the point.. Drive one it'll change your mind

Congrats, man! you'll love every minute of it. Its the car I owned for the longest of all of mine.

I am already loving it. Both me and the mrs think it's great and don't mind that it's going to cost a packet to run. From the brief time we've spent in it, we both agree it's going to be worth it.

I suffer from claustrophobia mildly and have been known to get a bit panicky when stuck in traffic. In this thing I can see over everything else apart from buses and trucks. An unexpected benefit.
