UK Bank with Best Online site

i have seen the co-op interface when my friend logged on, it was hideous something that not even a person in 1990s would do.

First direct site is good. App is a bit basic i think.

I rate barclays online services highly, my only gripe is that I can't (to my knowledge) add new payees via the mobile app and it needs to be done via the website, unless I'm out of date ofcourse :-)

I've always been happy with Nationwide. The website is good as is the app, although I only just realised they had one so can't say I've used it a lot.

Not being able to download statements to CSV is a big one, no statements online after 12 months is also rubbish. The excuse they gave me was would take up too much disk space.

Their mobile app is utterly rubbish, you can see the latest few transactions but not what DD's you have setup, you can't do anything on it.
Fair points in that case, but both facilities I've never needed to use. I mostly use it for checking balances and money transfers.

I use HSBC for my current account, savings and ISA and together using internet banking it's brilliant.

Just hate the whole security pad thingy that i need to log on. However they have an iPhone app if you need to check balance and recent statement.

What's wrong with Two Factor Authentication? I like the extra layer of security.

With RBS which I think uses the same platform as Natwest one annoying this is it does not show direct debits on a list until the first payment has been made.

Natwest are pretty good for online banking.

Though their website is rather pitiful for finding any information. No where is there information about their U25 railcard or what to do about a debit card that's about to expire, for example.

Co-Op/ Smile is fine for everything I do.

And even if it wasnt looking as good as others, theirs no way I would leave their service that they have given me over the years even with money being lifted form my account and ebay/ Paypal problems, they where always on my side.

Where as Barcleys is an absolute cluster ****, will never touch them again.

Because HSBC didn't do it to make your life easier, they did it to reduce people ripping them off.

How about TF Auth plus fingerprint scan, plus retinal scan, plus body smell scan, plus 20 charactor mixed case password with obligatory special characters which can never be repeated or be actual words, plus the first four lines of your favourite Shakespeare play, plus typing charactoristics analysis, plus four digit pin code, plus anal temperature reading, plus raster scans of your gf's left nipple.

That'll be secure, it'll also be a royal PITA.

HSBC, avoid.
Their back office is flat out rude as well, so unnecessary.

Have to say, Barclays is much, much better than it used to be.

I quite like Santanders as well for their text message authentication for payments. No pinsentry garbage.

Nationwide's is an absolute disgrace, I only have a Credit card with them, but no online payments?

Should you be able to make online payments with a credit card?

Unless I'm not correctly understanding you, I can make payments to other people via the Nationwide website and my current account.
