£1700 rig spec'd - Opinions please?

I might not use the 200mm in the top but I'd prefer to have a 140mm in the front to keep that ssd nice and chilly.

Thanks for the help guys, think I'm gonna go with the last basket I posted. Looks a bit beastier than what I started with and it's £160 cheaper!

You guys are awesome! :)

The ssd wont get hot, as there are no moving parts, non-mechanical drive. You can stick it anywhere you like.

Hi I've spec'd this rig and I'm going forward with this build (I know haswell is coming but it doesn't look like a vast improvement, I might change sockets on the next chip if it's major). Just looking for some views on this build. My budget is 2k but that's with OS, mouse, keyboard, headset and speakers so the budget for the actual rig and monitor is floating around £1700. Any advice would be sweet.

Thanks guys! :)

Thank you for all the help guys, you're awesome!

Can install OS from USB Drive.

If you actually plan to burn CD's that is a reason to have one. But for installing an OS or other software....not used a CD in years to do that.

For all they cost these days it's a no brainer to have one for backing up photos etc. I prefer hard backups to cloud backups.
