Using an XTR Shadow plus mech on the T2. Totally worth it for the quietness and smoother gear shifting over rough terrain. Prefer it to the non Shadow XTR on the Blur.

Think i will get the SLX Shadow Plus ordered then, just need a spacer and it will work with my SRAM 9 speed.

Mine arrived today

Nice cover on the saddle, sort of suede looking/feeling, it'll be nice on a black frame but will go in the spares tub for now. The grips are a bit Anne Summers though

Mine arrived today too. Both saddle and grips are better than expected. The saddle is going on the road bike as the stitching is smooth enough and shouldn't wear my bibshorts and I need new grips on the MTB and I'm liking the colour. Bargain!

The original Spitty had ooooodles of bearing issues and it was a complete ball ache for Banshee, so they have done some clever stuff to negate that ... dunno the specifics.

It's only as much hassle as a VPP bike like a nomad.

I like the look of them too but real world weights are a bit high aren't they?

It's a bit like a T2/Nomad in that If you are worried about the weight then it's not the bike for you.

The rune is quite light, so don;t see the Spitty being heavier, only lighter..

For some reason I thought it was a 160mm travel bike. So can't compare it to a T2/Gonad.
