*** The Official Samsung Galaxy S4 Thread ***

Andy, how is the multitasking and app switching on the Galaxy s3 vs HTC one? My hypothesis is that the Samsung will be reloading apps more as its reserve of ram is reduced by the bloat Samsung have put in. Any major performance difference between the apps?

I have to be honest, I only recently found out how to get to the HTC One app switcher (why HTC have to change things, like screenshot, I don't know) so it's hard for me to comment.

Did you not find double pressing home a bit obvious? Other devices use that same method and I personally tend to press the buttons in all manner of combinations to see what happens :p

Don't worry, for Sense 6 they've removed all buttons and replaced them with head nodding gestures. One nod for menu, two nods for back, three for multi tasking, four for search, five for a screen shot and six nods for home.

Their new slogan is... HTC: Like banging your head on a brink wall.

:D

Haha :D

Been away for the weekend. Left my GS4 at home (uninsured phone + stag do = trouble). Missed much? What's this about an update? I see HTC are due to release 4.2 for the One in the coming weeks and Samsung release 4.2 for the GS3 in June. Did you hear that Sony!?

64GB memory card just arrived :D

Got an update on T-Mobile this morning too, not installed it yet though. Is there a change log somewhere? Just says stability.

Disappointed to see dash clock widgets disabled on the s4 if you use a pattern or pin. Can anyone rooted on wanamlite confirm if it is ok on that?

Does anyone know how to removed recommended shortcuts in the notification panel when you've got earphones plugged in?
I'm sure there was a simple yes/no in the settings of my S3 but I can't see anything on the S4

My S4 says

1day 17hours on battery and 49% battery left...
That seems pretty good so far...

(I bet it eats the battery far far faster after I installed some apps)
