Red Orchestra 2: Rising Storm - Debut Trailer

Bought this last night when I saw the accolade in here and discount for already owning RO2. Had a quick blast and, well, between this and Chivalry I don't think I'm EVER going to get round to playing another bloody single player game!

What visual settings are people using? I noticed when I started playing at default "High" settings, everything looked blurry including my hands/gun. Tweaked a little and fixed that, but now I have a permanent red icon (an exclamation mark inside two half circles) fixed to the upper left corner of my iron sights area?

Everything on highest for me. I turn off motion blur and all those other fancy effects. Also run SweetFx, makes it look soooo much better although it will drop quite a few fps depending obviously what config you're using.

A quick hit of esc normally gets rid of any hud errors.

Loving this game so far. Makes a nice change for all the modern based shooters lately.

Performance I very happy with it playing on mix high/ultra solid 60fps most of the time.
One issue me and friend is having is recording gameplay, when you start recording the gameplay frame rate halves to 30fps?? we both use amd card.

While couple other friends with Nvidia cards say it dont and they keep solid 60.

Can any of you guys AMD or Nvidia and using Dxtory confirm your frame rate drops to 30fps when recording?

Thanks

Hi guys, I made the following changes to the server settings.

Kill cam - Disabled
Kill feed - Player only (You do not see the kill feed from other players)
Lock down mode - Disabled
Peripheral dots - Disabled
Battlefield Commissions - Disabled (Just for you Richie)
Player names above team mates (Restricted to 10m distance)

Finally got round to getting this last night and I'm really enjoying it, as I had RO2 I got it for £8 which seems like a really good price. I'm looking for a server to be my regular at the moment, the OCUK does interest me as it's on realism but the player count does seem low :(

It should pick up mate, we had it full 64/64 on Sunday from about 12pm until we were forced to reboot at 5pm.

During the evening on a week day I expect it to be rammed until the early hours once it gets going.

I guess its because its beta but I get HUD errors, like a little red cross hair, but its never located in the centre of the screen or where the gun is aiming.

Played this ALL last night. It would be ace on comms, Gaudalcanal (the night one) is BRILLIANT.

What is all that battlefiel commission thing about? It made no sense to me so I just hit yes.

If you get a high score on the next map you get granted battlefield commission which means you can pretty much take any role you want in the game, even if someone else is already in that role.

What was really annoying though is for example, Richie was the sniper class, he was having a pretty good game and then mid way through the match gets kicked out of his spot because someone has battlefield commission.

It's really frustrating when it happens to you, especially when you are having a good round yourself!

Played on the OcUK server last night, and had some good fun, even though its set to Realism (I'm more of a Classic fan personally).

My only gripe would be it was a little laggy and there's too many bots - I know they keep the server feeling full, but they are all somehow incredibly stupid but with lightning reflexes and senses :/

Looking forward to seeing some more familiar names on there though - as per the sig, I'm DaiaBu in game :) 8pm or so should be about right for me.

We have a new server now that runs on it's own box. No more lag :)

I tried playing RO2, but maybe I just had bad luck or something, but I just kept going into servers where nothing much was happening. Plenty of bots, and the occasional people just running around.

Was completely pointless.

Might give it another go at some point, as I like the idea of a vaguely realistic WWII game.

That only happens if you pick bad servers, there are quite a few ones now that are always just about full, great fun!
