Moore Tornado, NOW, live chaser footage

I am watching the one where the guy is parked up outside (just to the west) of Ardmore. Those clouds look ominous! Woah! The lightning going off too :s Time to run the other way. Just got really windy also!

That's StormChaseMedia.com's.

Some really stunning (and scary) looking live video.

Looks like a small inflow band was visible. Storm still seems to have power, but I did start seeing some clouds that perhaps looked like mamatus...

Time to rename you TORNADO MAN!

I reckon some of these people use the storm as an excuse to get out in their car and bomb it along. The guy chasing the storm has been passed as if he was sitting still a few times now.

Its a shame nobody saw that cell down in Brownwood Texas, that is shaping up to give the "Classic Supercell" or even High Precip radar signature, very isolated, and able to draw a lot of power from the surrounding land. I'd bet a god deal of money that a tornado event will happen there.

You have to remember though, that storm chasing is a very dull affair 99% of the time. Blue sky busts are frequent and imagine having driven some place for 6 hours straight only to find blue sky and a supercell another 6 hours away!

I know they are devastating things and all that but man im kinda jealous that we in the uk never get these even if its just to see in hopefully a non populated area.

Isn't tech amazing? The way we can watch psychopathic storm chasing Americans from our chairs here on the other side of the water! Shouldn't take this for granted really.

Most of the time though, the action is at 2-3 in the morning for virtual chasers on this side of the pond.

Did anyone else see something just explode in the Erik Fox stream? It freezed framed and there was loads of little bits of... something exploding. Possibly lightning hitting the ground right in front?

Holy **** that is scary the power of them things.

Don't know how people can put themselves in an area where this can happen.

Looks like they all might be dropping south to catch that cell converging on Dallas. Maybe in just under an hour they will be on it and it on them....

Certainly the greatest potential is down that way, the rest seems to be forming a squall line. That's not to say that tornadic potential is low, you can often get mesocyclones formed in the leading edge of a squall line. It's just they are very difficult to predict, especially without all these guys out there in the field spotting them.
