What the hell?!

I was just having a great game on the OCUK server as an SL on Guadacanal, then suddenly I get session banned for no reason! :mad:

The team killing system requires people to say np in chat if you team kill them.
Maybe that`s what happened. Sorry if that`s what happened, maybe we could adjust the tking rules server side.
Cai or melbo maybe able to answer as they deal with the config side.
 
Correct. After 6 team kills it will auto kick you. Apologise and most people will then type np in chat which will forgive you.
 
Had a few rounds this evening and had some awesome fun with a good commander and team work.

I prefer the Classic game mode but this was awesome fun.

That's fine, but it happened out of nowhere...I didn't do anything, fire my gun, there was no arty, nothing. Just spawned, ran a few metres, kicked. I gather there is a lag on the kick.

I always apologise too, but not everyone says np, so I guess it tallies up.

Anyway, just had a great game on IwoJima...awesome map :D
 
What a great game tonight, think I played non stop since about 4:30!! Good to see some of the faces from OCUK. Server ran really well imo, was pretty much full from when I connected after work.

I had a decent hour on the server last night, it was good to see the server full and I enjoyed my time there but there were a few lag spikes, nothing to ruin the experience though. My actual plying skills were seriously hit and miss one round I'm doing terrible near the bottom then next game I'm top, hopefully after I give a few more hours to learn the maps more, I'll be more consistent.

Thanks mate, what I did notice was a few players on a static ping of 300ms or higher. I know that on Arma servers one high ping player can degrade the server for everyone else.

Didn't want to be ruthless and kick players out but might need to get some sort of ping limit put on.

You have to draw the line somewhere unfortunately, I would say 250+ static is fair for a kick. It's a hard thing to balance but as there are quite a few players on at the moment (a lot more than Ro2 Recently) you can get away with kicking a few and there will be more to take their place.
 
SweetFX brings this game to life :D the default color is abit dull.

Turns out Tripwire have no plans to set a minimum foliage setting. People are able to simply turn foliage off completely at the moment. Thankfully a server side mutator is in the works that will force the minimum setting and block some .ini tweaks that effect removing grass.

Soon as this is released it will be put on the server.
