Most of the comments for Man of Steel are positive, but too much footage can hype a film too much, to the point where the film in question can never live up to that hype. Would be interesting to know if those who saw all the trailers and virals for Prometheus and were really hyped to see it, but found the film to be a disappointment, would have felt that way if they had not been all hyped up about the film.

I suppose seeing so many trailers for a film makes sense if you are undecided about going to see it; but to see all the trailers and footage for a film you definitely want to see, makes no sense at all to me. You're giving yourself the greatest chance to be disappointed.

Seriously what is it with all the re-writing of these movies.

There is only ONE superman and only ONE story that relates to him, this re-write is to get the new generation into superman again so they can do a 1, 2, 3, 4 etc with it. And I for one call it complete BS! (Just like the latest Spider-Man re-write)

Have these idiots really run out of ideas that they can't think of sometime new?

Ill watch it for sure but ill be waiting for the blu-ray rip and download the torrent off the net thank you very much.

Hulk - The Incredible Hulk
Batman - The Dark Knight
Superman - The Man of Steel

All different 'Universes' within the DC and Marvel Comic Books!

Plus apart from Superman The Movie (and possibly Superman II) the Original Warner Brothers don't really follow Superman 'Canon' (don't get me started on Superman IV!! :mad: )

Plus they need a 'newer' origin story for the up coming 'Justice League' Movie. As Christopher Reeve is a little busy and Brandon Routh is a little 'hated' to play Superman!!!

I am banning myself from this thread until I see the film. It is now so close to the release that anything I read/see now will be firmly placed into my mind when I go see the film. All I will do then is be thinking about that and when that will occur rather than go with the flow and enjoy the movie for what it is.

Too many times I have seen all the best bits from films I have wanted to see from the trailers, and I don't want to fall victim to that again! The last comic book film I thoroughly enjoyed because I didn't watch all trailers/clips was the Avengers. I hope to do the same again for man of steel.
 
That's why I backed out of the Iron Man 3 thread till last week, and I'm still not going back into the Star Trek into Darkness Thread till I see it!! ;)

Maybe so but if you look through the trailers you can see things alluding to this:

Couple of the trailers seem to show a civil war on krypton, and in the last trailer Zod says that Kalel is one of his citizens, which would seem to imply he succeeded in overthrowing the Kryptonian government and he's now its ruler.

Have to wait and see but to me it looks pretty certain :)
 
Don't worry I did the same thing we all most likely have seen the trailer we all had no choice :)

We just get to see all those action scenes in HD and see what happens afterwards so its still gonna be cool!

people do tend to forget SuperSloth!

Really weird way of picking it up, must be very light from the looks of it.

And by **** how lazy was that thing? I know they spend more time sleeping but Christ that was pathetically slow.
