Too expensive but looks like a beautiful piece of engineering
Agreed the 780's do look very nice, but are they worth double the price of a HD 7970? That's the question people should ask themselves. Problem is the 780 is fast but not fast enough to get 60fps @ max settings in the more demanding games @ 1440P even the Titan isn't, so people still need to go the dual GPU card route to achieve 60fps+ anyway, unless you're willing to lower settings, my guess is someone who's spending £600 on a GPU doesn't want to lower settings. So your looking at over £1000 on dual GTX 780's or about £580 - £620 on dual 7970's..
GTX 780 / HD 7970, Same amount of vram, same memory bus, same die node. extra 20% performance.. twice the price? I suppose you do get Physx as well.
Nice cards but to pricey for me. However next year when the prices come down maybe
