Nvidia pricing is a joke?

the entire argument is from something simple:

its 20% faster than the 7970 - for an increase in price of 85%.

that's the overpriced part that`s being argued

Why are you comparing to an AMD product? An old AMD product at that?

Other than a Titan it's the fastest single GPU solution out there, that always carries a premium.

so you don't actually understand the overpriced argument then? that's ok - I did just explain it.

but again for you - 85% increase in money gains you 20% increase in performance. that's it. quite simple really.

Your making far to many assumptions, gregster, you have no idea what peoples incomes are around here, just because they are unwilling to spend ridicules money on such products is not to say they don't have that money a thousand times over to set light to if they so wished.

Some people plain and simply take offence to being ripped off.

Spoffle, correct that post please.

What was that all about gregster?

I'm dyslexic, you know this, I told you the last time you picked up on my spelling, like a prat.

You, quite clearly, are incapable of reading or comprehending.

But again, for you - Nobody is interested in comparing an old product, from a different manufacturer against a brand new, class leading, LAUNCH product from a price point of view.

It's stupid. Anyone drawing pricing conclusions based off performance increase alone should be considered as such.

Why are you complaining about a price when you are seemingly content with "20% less performance for 85% less cash". Go ahead with that option.

so you completely fail to understand? why not just admit that so you can learn instead of posting as you are?

lets break this down:

Why are you comparing to an AMD product? An old AMD product at that?

well the 7970 is the top of the current range , theres the crunch - current. doesn't matter when it came out - its what they sell.

and again since you cant understand this:

a 7970 GE is £300 or under

the GTX 780 , which gains you +20% performance increase is 85% more expensive to purchase.

ergo its overpriced.

even by Nv`s usual pricing its a significant increase over day 0 prices on the gtx 680/580 and 480.

do you actually UNDERSTAND now?

7970 = $550 @ Launch.
680 = $500 @ Launch.
780 = $650 @ Launch.

Let's say it's 20% quicker across the board, 780 is 18% more expensive than the 7970 and 20% quicker. The 780 is 30% more expensive than the 680 and 20% quicker (what's not true at higher res)

It's not offensively priced relative to other launch day GPUs, you just don't get more for your money that's all.

Wow, you really cannot comprehend can you? Just keep bashing the same old tired, empty and blunt point home.

dig your head out of the sand and understand - your replies continually show that quite sadly - you fail to grasp the concepts involved here.

See post above yours, from someone who is able to comprehend.

You quite clearly are very very emotional about wanting the performance the 780 offers but not being able to afford it. Let's leave it at that, bored of your one track broken record point of discussion.

Relative to other launch day GPUs ATM no, but they were all offensively priced, its the new trend.

He wont admit it. The same as others here

pointless arguing with you , a 4chan internet troll who doesn't understand.

edit: compare to Titan all you want ; the GTX780 is not the top of the line card and Nv haven't changed pricing near at all of the GTX 680 since launch. AMD have.

AMD have no choice, Nvidia is the Apple of GPUs they have a name that sells. If AMD want to compete they need to do one of two things, beat them by huge margins or undercut them....they have done the latter for along time, the market share hasn't changed and there is still a bad taste in peoples mouths when it comes to AMD (even though its no longer true)

Nvidia like Apple are marketing geniuses, they make a product people *need* rather than want, fantastic when you look at it really. AMD have changed their game plan and hopefully with this gens positives they can follow suit next gen and claim back some market share...till then however.

AMD`s gpu market is more than NVidia`s (and of course behind intel)

they don't NEED to cut the way they do.

Considering Intel doesn't have any discrete GPUs lets just ignore that link shall we....LOL.

Actual market share last time i looked was 65/35 to Nvidia.
