Yeah, its the "sports" model, 17" Alloys, lowered suspension, spoiler and 1.8L under the hood :D

I think whatever rear rack they do will run into problem with the spoiler, unless I get a roof rail (not going to happen) or a tow bar (not going to happen), the only option is put the bike in the car.

Seems to work...

I've looked into a rear rack for the Clio, and been told to avoid due to the spoiler on the rear it will snap off at somepoint as it's well cheap plastic secured with two bolts. It's not designed to take any stress.

Roof rack is the way to go, I've been putting my bike in the back and it fits. It's a pain in the ass and my car is always dirty now :(

Thule actually recommend not using a rear rack if your car has a spoiler too, by the looks of it.

I am sure the bike would fit in the back but like you said, it would make a mess of the interior. One wrong nudge and I could get the roof covered in mud.

Yeah, or a rip of the leather.............

I'm going roof rack it may make a few scratches over time but it's not too expensive to get fixed really.

recommendations on a bash ring that doesn't look gash?

I don't really want it as bash ring more to stop it cutting my legs up as im a bit special and don't like the huge thick plastic offerings.

Has anyone in here ever posted anything to Indonesia before?
Got someone interested, but I'm not sure whether I should send it there...I noticed Canyon won;t post their bikes there...wonder if it's due to fraud?

If the buyer pays via PayPal and not as a "gift", then I'm covered right?

Edit: Nevermind, think I got another buyer in stead.

no chance - they pay you - you ship it, 7 days later paypal take money back from your account as it was paid for via a hacked account. You have no money and no item as you've already posted. Your not covered at all as the money came from a hacked account. that's the usual way the scam works.

The bikehut in Braehead is generally pretty decent, got some of the good guys working in there. Which other stores did you try?

I tried Hamilton first and most of the staff didn't really have a clue. The one guy that did was just a bit of a jobsworth and couldn't be bothered trying to help me get the most value of of my Cycle to Work Voucher. He wouldn't even let me reserve and collect the stuff on the website to save a bit of cash because I was using the voucher.

I then tried East Kilbride. I phoned them twice asking about the bike and both times was told I'd get a call back in 10 minutes once they'd had a chance to look into it. Nobody ever called me back. The second time I called them back 40 minutes later and was told the store was closed and no one would speak to me. It was a few minutes before closing time by my watch and even when I said that I had been waiting on a call back for 40 minutes no one could be bothered to come to the phone.

In the end I got my Boardman Team FS, a Topeak Joe Blow Sport 2 track pump, a Camelbak M.U.L.E., a pink Hello Kitty horn (for my daughter, honest) and a plastic thing for scraping the crap out of the cassette and rear derailleur. I'll probably only end up paying about £600 for the lot as well so good times. :)

Oh yeah, the spikes on the pedels are not going to be kind to the seats !

I have a roof rack on my "bike car" but if I want to ride after work, my commuting car has no rack, I use something similar to this:

http://www.duffbag.com/products/bike-bags

I would have bought that instead of what I have currently as bits of bike still stick out of the bag.

I have their duff bag and found it excellent, I just stuff all my muddy kit in there and chuck it into the boot without worrying about getting the car dirty.

It also save the bike from getting salty from the road grit in the winter.

Anyone on here using the Sram XX1 groupset. Tempted to add it to the Orange Five.

Its between the XTR 2 x 10 and Srams XX1.

Both similar prices, XTR slightly cheaper.

Not very good service at all! I can take those vouchers but it has to be on the RRP and we don't have much in the way of a FS bike at or under the grand mark :(

That's not ideal, I'll pass on your experiences to the Bikehut managers of both stores. Should have come and spoke to me in Lanark though - bit of a trek but I'm lovely :P
