Bt offering cheap infinity to existing customers

yeah they have but only if you are a new customer. So I have to suffer with throttle

My parents were customers when it was brought in and they don't get p2p throttling at all

Oh, that's pretty good. When did they implement that?

Quite a while ago I believe

@OP that is a pretty shocking deal as Infinity 2 is normally £26 per month plus line rental

Hmm it actually says 17.65 (not including line rental) on my bill. Still quite a lot compared to what has been replied with.

The plusnet one looks pretty good!

Sorry, where is the deal? I just moved from O2 to PlusNet two weeks ago and am getting 73/16 FttC speeds for £9.99 first 6 months rising to £19.99. Also paid a year of line rental up front, so equates to £10.50 pm with evening a weekend calls. That is how a deal is done, BT.

They rang me and said Infinity would be 50p more a month than what I was on (24mb) so I went for it.

Is the plusnet one reliable? I may need to take a look at that sometime

man I hate line rental so much, don't even have a phone plugged in but they won't give you infinity without it (fttp)

Same here, i don't understand why no provider hasn't offered a package with no phone included yet(without bumping the price up anyway), they would get a shed load of new custom for that reason only.. As long and the broadband was reasonably priced of course.

But i guess they use the price of the line rental to subsidize the rest of the package ><

That's a very good price, currently paying around £35 for mine which includes infinity option 2 + Unlimited calls addon.. I might look into this as I want BT Sport too.

Though that said it seems I won't be saving much.

Exactly. It wouldn't be much cheaper as you still physically need the phone line and for it to be maintained and working.

how are some of you guys getting good deals?

I'm new customer looking at infinity 2 and it's 26 pound month and 15 line rental at full price

Apart from the poster paying a rather unbelievable £7 a month, no one is paying anything particularly cheap.

If you take into account the £100 Sainsburys voucher, £110 Quidco and £6 a month off for the first 3 months, my Infinity 2 is costing me £13.30 a month plus line rental (£10/mo - as paid annually). Cant argue with that!

Also includes unlimited evening and weekend calls.

Apologies I pay £11.10 for unlimited weekend and evening calls and infinity 2. Not quite the 7 quid I claimed but still only £9.10 seeing as the call plan costs £2.00 a month
