Took my daughter of 11 and her 2 friends to watch Epic. Sadly ( LOL ) it was full. My daughter wanted to watch Great Gatesby to which her friends rejected. I mentioned Star Trek 3D and to my surprise they went with it - result!
8/10 I really enjoyed it. I'm sure the purists will be horrified with what is almost a "remake" but all in all I thought it was excellent.
I've been dithering over buying a 3D projector for our new house and I've decided it has to be done. Will get Star Trek for its first viewing.
Aliens. Amazing. To say that things go from bad to worse would be a gross understatement. It is merciless. Sigourney Weaver is absolutely badass as well.
I'm I really such an uncultured bum to dare to dislike a play that has taken the first world by absolute storm. If I were to watch the play I'm sure I'd be more forgiving and actually respect it for its form.
However, I couldn't remove myself from peeling back the bravado and seeing a dull story about a man who was unfairly imprisoned and adopted a girl that got married <add fluff>. AND THEY SING EVERY WORD!!
My own fault really, what did I expect. It's like watching Broke Back Mountain and having the cheek to be disgusted.
Les Mis would have been ok had it been trimmed back, far too long for such a simple story, an hour and half or just over and it would have been much better.
