Since Haswell is out next week and after giving away my pc to the younger brother, I thought it would be the right time to build my first rig.

The pc would be almost entirely used for gaming, FPS and RTS mostly. I'm needing the works, desktop, mouse, keyboard and monitor but i already have a spare Win7, also need it wireless network enabled. The option of doing a moderate overclock as well would be great.

My budget all in was going to be around the 1000/1200 mark but I would be willing to throw in a little extra if it would make a noticeable impact or if there was another good reason. Would it be worth buying the bulk of the components the now while there is a 5% discount and wait next week for the cpu and mobo ?

The help is appreciated :D

Ordering most of it now might not be a bad idea, you'd pay shipping twice ofc but the 5% saving on the bulk of the components would be more than the 2nd shipping cost. My suggestion would be something like:

comes to £834.82 inc delivery leaving you enough for a haswell i7 and motherboard hopefully.

Tried to make it a well rounded machine but you could swap some things around if wanted like skipping on the SSD to get a slightly faster GPU.

I know I've been away for a week or two testing "new stuff" but are the Twin Frozr's still "buggy"?

Not a 100% but have looked around the internet and can`t seem to find much since this revision was released. So, can only assume the issues have been resolved.

Now that the haswell CPU's are out has anyone any suggestions on what CPU and mobo to go for? Got about £360 to spend, maybe a little more?

Was thinking the I5 3.4GHZ was a good option?
