What film did you watch last night?

Carriers

Staring Chris Pine, thought it was quite good. Was expecting a zombie movie, not sure why. Was quite a short movie (80ish minutes) - was just right for this sort of movie.

6.5/10....worth a watch.

Restrepo 7/10 - great work by the film crew. After reading that it was just two of them with no further support and just the kit they can carry. Spending 10 months in a horrid environment and when they struck that IED or was caught up in a fire fight, they kept the cameras rolling. Very good.

Django unchained - possibly one of the best films I've seen. Enjoyed everything about it, waltz and foxx were fantastic. 9/10

Life (Eddie Murphy, Martin Lawrence) - have watched this about 100 times on DVD and have got to say its unbelievably funny and the story is great too, must watch if you want something easy and fun! 9/10

Identity Theif. 1/10. Turned it off after 30 minutes

LOL i watched it with the missus and i fell asleep after about 20 mins or so..surprisingly she watched it all and thought it was pure utter rubbish.

0.5/10 is about as good as it gets from me:p

Battleship

Finally got round to watching this, and I freaking loved it! It got silly for the last half hour (turned into a navy recruitment video) but still enjoyable. Silly dumb fun.

Abraham Lincoln Vampire Dooer Inner - 1/10. I honestly couldn't think or anything I liked about this film. The female vamp has a nice bottom but other than that truly stupid.

Silver Linings Playbook - 6/10.

Didn't see what the big deal was with this film, and how Jennifer Lawrence won an oscar for her performance over Emmanuelle Riva, I'll never know.

The Purge - 6/10

Had an interesting concept so decided to see this over other films showing. It wasn't as good as it could have been. The script was a bit wooden, the acting was a bit stale. But, overall, I thought it did an alright job. It was thought-provoking and suspenseful in places.

Untouchable - after many recomendations in this thread I watched and enjoyed this French true story comedy drama. It was a good film and was quite moving at times, funny too in places. As it was based on real life (including a shot of the two actual people at the end) it cannot be said to have been contrived to be too easy and perfect.
I liked it (as did a lot of others now 62nd in the IMDb Top 250). Also Audrey Fleurot (the redhead secretary) is very easy on the eye. 4/5

Saw it too, so good 4/5

Inception (for the 4th or 5th time)

I enjoy this film more and more each time I watch it.....and I really liked it the first time! For me now, it's one of the great sci-fi movies. Probably the best since Blade Runner.

First time I saw it (theater) I thought it was very cool and visually stunning, with plenty of action. But not something I would regard as in any way "classic".

Then I got the Blu-Ray. Enjoyed it a lot more due to understanding more of what was actually going on, and picking up on some of the subtler stuff. That took it up a notch.

Now on the 4th/5th viewing I find myself getting really wrapped up the Cobb/Mal relationship and imagining everything they went through. I think because I have a kid now it also has a lot more impact.

I really, really hope there is never another Inception movie. It should just stand on its own. It's pretty much perfect.

9.5/10

PS. Can Christopher Nolan do anything wrong I wonder?
