Channel 4 - Skint

Programmes like these wind me up >_>'

They complain about being "skint", but half of them smoke and have dogs and/or babies to look after. One of the women on it was complaining about the government and how they aren't helping, but I have the opinion that why should they help them? They've got themselves into their situation, and it certainly doesn't look like they're prepared to work to get themselves out of their situation. It's like they don't ever get out of the baby phase of having everything done for them...

As for tax and benefits - Why should our hard-worked taxes fund their lifestyle when they don't contribute anything at all?!

I agree. I don't buy the argument that "you have to give them more money so the kids don't suffer". It's baloney.

Half the time these parents will spend the money on themselves anyhow. Beer, fags, new TV, etc.

And if you say "we have to support all the poor children" you are simply giving some people license to take as much money from the state as they desire. At some point you have to put practicality ahead of sentimentality.

The children will suffer if their parents are idiots, and it shouldn't be the state's job to guarantee a cushy life for all children.

P.S. I work at the council and I see some of the hostels (not called that tho) where young people can go if they have 'problems'. They are abusive to the staff, they swear and strut around like they own the place. And we have (by law) to provide them with internet access so they can score drugs from their pals on Facebook.

We are much too soft as a society these days. Much too soft.
 
Just send em all to Scotland, somewhere very high up... Best alternative to Siberia.

On 1 of the many islands, so only the fittest ones will swim it to mainland... This will ensure Natural Selection since the ones who smoke and rely on Iceland for food will die out like mammoths.

theres enough scummy folk up here as it is we'd rather not have your lot as well.......if you want to put them somewhere very 'high' just give them a lethal dose of heroin, problem solved ;)
 
It is to us but these people are stuck in a cycle they want the material things we all have but don't have means to fund them. The fault lies with the companies who offer credit for TVs to the unemployed
 
Seriously... morons buy stuff they cant afford every day. Sub prime mortgages anyone?

At least **** him off for a good reason.
