Jump start it, Give it a push and start it, smash the window if you're going to scrap it anyway, use the key?

Sure thing guys, its an Renault Laguna 16V Dynamique 2003. tbh dont have jump leads. Is there any other option besides using them??. All I want is access to the back of the car lool.

Cheers

As has already been said you can still open doors with the key so I don't understand why you need it running?

Blatantly trying to rob something out of the back of someone's car...

Doesn't have a key and seems to want to 'ignite' it

^^^^^^^^^^ stationery..... une gomme, bic? (poor french skills)

suspicious motives are suspicious.... :P who ya tryna rob?

I would have assumed OP would have tried the keys to open the car already... so not sure what would be stopping them unless it's some keycode so there needs to be power to validate the codes before the doors will unlock? at a guess? if not.... smash the window or try all the other methods to get in as ya gunna be scrapping it anyway xD I would totally be playing trying to pretend I'm a master locksmith :p

I wouldn't be surprised if the youth of today were so used to having RCL that they haven't even noticed there is a place on the door that you can put the key into.

I still dream of the day that I own a car with a keyfob xD was mindblowing enough when I had my ford escort which had electric front windows and central locking...felt like a king xD

"Mwah ha ha! I laugh at you peasants having to wind thoust windows down and upeth, and don't get one started on how i control ALL DOORS!" :)

I can imagine some people being totally clueless and panicking when the battery on their fob runs out and they can't get into the car, without knowing theres a key inside the fob.

Take the working battery off your current car and use that to start the vehicle. Once its running you can actually swap to the old battery and let it charge off the alternator.

Why would you need to get the spare wheel out anyway? If you have a key i dont see why there would be any reason to 'ignite' the car anyway?? very odd thread.

For those pouring scorn over the OP, remember the renaults of this age have that dodgy key card thing rather than an actual key.

You need the emergency key which you remove from the key card. You then need to remove the emergency key cover on the door handle.

this guy.... this guy right here has all the answers :D hope that'll sort the OP :)

Confused as to why the OP wants to burn his car?

Insurance fraud?

Stolen vehicle?

Ex partner in boot?
