Do you undertake middle lane morons!

I always undertake middle lane hoggers. Dont see why i have to risk going across 2 lanes and then back again because they cant be arsed to move one lane!!

Speeding drivers known to his friends as "The Stig" kills bride-to-be.

Driving, if you can call it that, a VW Golf, a German car methinks.

As for "The Stig" in this story they should throw the bleedin` key away as far as I`m concerned, and when he finally comes out he should never be given a driving licence ever again.
Loads of people agree with the above sentiment, but actually most of them are being inconsistent because there are loads of imbecilic drivers out there using the public roads as race tracks and it`s pure fluke that many of them don`t kill someone, so if we`re going to be consistent anyone caught driving like "The Stig" in our story should be banged up, or, at at he very least, have his (because it is usually a he) driving licence permanently revoked.

Give it a rest Justine, you're going to burst something and your pontificating is silly, oafish and incredibly simplistic based to your own silly preconceptions and 'research'. You don't address any of this, you simply stroll in and make you latest bigoted view, supported by your own high opinion of your own views and leave.

To me these are the actions of a troll and some of your own self held credibility statements are laughable, but you wont see that of course, you know it al. You are lecturing a demographic you assume you know, not one you do know and that is why other people are starting to rip you a knew one.

Wouldn't bother mate, he's not very active and will only come on here when he thinks he has a "valid" argument...

I especially liked the bit about being in the middle lane means using the space more effectively :D

The Department of Transport has not yet released official guidance on which types of driving will attract fines.

But police are expected to focus on situations involving slightly aggressive and inconsiderate driving, such as:

Driving too close to the vehicle in front

Failing to give way at a junction (not requiring evasive action by another driver)

Overtaking and pushing into a queue of traffic

Being in the wrong lane and pushing into a queue on a roundabout

Lane discipline, eg needlessly hogging the middle or outside lanes

Inappropriate speed

Wheel-spins, handbrake turns and other careless manoeuvres

Wait, not giving way at a roundabout (not requiring evasive action by another driver) is likely to be an on the spot fine? Isn't that called using a roundabout? (Surely if they don't have to take evasive manouvres it means there was space to pull out...?) :p

Did anyone hear the section regarding this subject on the Jeremy Vine Radio 2 show today? Actually hearing people justify sitting in the middle lane made me so angry. Take a listen if you got some time:

Starts at 34:10

OH MY GOD.

I want to murder EVERYONE.

Jeremy Vine: "You've got a separate speedometer which allows you to drive faster?"

OMG R U DUM?

Oops, did you say something bad? :p

Nah I just put that there so a passing mod didn't tell me off for being rude :D

I wondered if he were playing Devil's advocate, since I presumed no-one allowed to chair a discussion on motoring could be so out of touch :p

So the Government are thinking of making "middle laning" an offence ? Well good luck with that one that`s all I can say.....
In the first place they`ll have to alter the Highway code because at the moment it`s just "advisory" to use the left hand lane "when it`s clear to do so". If they make it an offence they`ll then have to define it because "middle laning" is subjective. For instance, are you supposed to move over if you`re only going to be in the left hand lane for 3 seconds ? Or 5 seconds ? Or 10 seconds ?
If they`re going to make "middle laning" illegal the only objective way to do so is on the speed, I`d actually agree that no car should be allowed out of the inside lane if it`s doing less than 60mph because there`s a safety issue in cars doing that low a speed in the middle lane, or indeed any lane at all come to that.
I predict nothing will come of all this but if it does I`m very interested to see how the Highway Code defines "middle laning" and how the Police manage to get a prosecution to stick.

It`s all a load of tosh anyway, there are dozens of things on the roads which **** me off far more than people staying too long in the middle lane at 60mph, like ignorants with noisy exhausts for instance, I hate them with a passion, that`s already illegal but hardly any of the braindeads get done for it !

The only thing that should be illegal is you plugging your website or links to the Daily Mail and your inexcusable apostrophe mistakes.
